Soccer, softball, basketball and ball hockey — just for her! This girls-only sports camp is geared to fostering skill development, fair play and a love of sport in females. Delivered in partnership with Uplands Golf & Ski Club. It's tee time at Uplands Golf Club! Young golfers are introduced to game terminology, rules, etiquette and technique at Vaughan's scenic (and award winning!) nine-hole golf course. Through a comprehensive daily instruction plan developed by certified PGA of Canada Instructors, and on-course supervision, learn basic swing knowledge—grip, stance, putting—in an energetic and fun atmosphere. Practice your short and long game with active movement and speed enhancing games and drills as you golf under the guidance of trained camp counsellors. Unwind with nature hikes through the valley and creative arts activities. Note: Campers will do a considerable amount of walking the course each day; golf carts will not be made available. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and skill development. Equipment requirements: All participants must have a putter, wedge, one iron, one wood and one driver. Rental equipment is available at a cost of $25/session. Golf balls and tees are included. Dress code: short sleeved t-shirts or polo shirts, running shoes. Camp runs rain or shine – activities occur in the Club House in the event of inclement weather. Participants will be grouped by age and/or skill level.

Each day blends focused skill development with age-appropriate challenges and exciting scrimmages that help you apply what you’ve learned in real game situations. Delivered in partnership with Film Camp in a Box. Fill your week with action, adventure and a lot of comedy in our Hollywood movie-making camp. Mentored by master filmmakers, you’ll make movie magic while exploring the filmmaking process, including pre-production, production and post production. Working in small crews, you’ll learn about cinematography, script writing and digital post-production tools, like Final Cut Pro, iMovie and Canva. You’ll then create, act in and edit a short film and movie trailer, adding special effects, music, voiceovers, titles and sound effects, plus you’ll use the latest technology — MacBooks, 4K cameras, tripods, boom microphones, green screens and aerial drones. You and your crew will also create promotional and advertising assets to showcase your short film to the world and use AI tools to generate an original movie soundtrack. Movies will be presented at our red carpet popcorn film festival and archived on our digital theatre. Note: The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. Delivered in partnership with Optimal Diving Club. Curious about the sport of diving? This is your summer to make a splash! This introductory program teaches the fundamentals of springboard diving in a fun and supportive learning environment. You’ll start with the basics, like learning how to safely jump and dive, first from the poolside then from a one-metre springboard. Then, with guided instruction and lots of practice, you’ll build confidence in deep water while mastering essential skills like body control, takeoffs and water entry. Coaches from Optimal Diving Club visit daily to lead the dedicated diving session. Prerequisite: Swimmer 4. Note: The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. Love the water but want more than “lessons”? Dive in and learn how lifeguards train: practice swimming strokes, first aid situations and rescues through friendly competition in an environment that mixes work with play and focuses on personal-best achievement. Throughout the summer track your progress collecting stickers from the Canadian Lifesaving Society for your ‘Junior Lifeguard’ journal, and work towards completing all your Swim Patrol levels: Rookie/Swimmer 7, Ranger/Swimmer 8, Star/Swimmer 9 and Bronze Star/Swimmer 10.
