Pack your apron and bring your appetite! Kitchen of the World is your passport to a delicious journey across continents. In this hands-on culinary camp, young chefs will discover the flavours, traditions and techniques of global cuisine while building confidence in the kitchen. Each day, you’ll “travel” to a new country and prepare up to three recipes — an appetizer, entree and/or dessert — inspired by places like Italy, Japan, Mexico, France and Greece. Along the way, you’ll learn the stories behind the food, explore cultural traditions and collaborate with fellow foodies on a flavourful and enriching culinary adventure. Note: Culinary activities in the kitchen are complemented with arts & crafts, cooperative games and recreational swimming 2-3 times per week. For the Vaughan Studios & Event Space location, parking is not available on-site. Metered street parking and nearby paid parking options are available. The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. With guidance from seasoned instructors and tapping into your own young-chef confidence, you’ll experiment with flavours, practice plating techniques and present your creations to a friendly panel of judges. Campers learn the core foundations of chess — from starting positions and piece movement to captures, check, checkmate, stalemate and pawn promotion — while building confidence through guided play. Chess is known for developing focus, logic, memory and problem-solving skills, and you’ll put these skills into action through friendly matches and mini challenges throughout the week. The camp culminates in a fun tournament where you’ll showcase what you’ve learned and practice good sportsmanship. Note: The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. This specialty camp offers 'kreative' kids instruction in visual arts and drama combined with traditional camp activities such as arts & crafts, special theme days, sports and games. You’ll learn fundamental techniques, including cradling, passing, shooting and defensive positioning, while building teamwork, confidence and game IQ. Note: Participants are required to bring a hockey or lacrosse helmet with a face mask, as well as hockey or lacrosse gloves. Sticks and balls will be provided. The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Ice and fun here we come! Learn skating basics such as balance, control and gliding on two feet. One hour a day is dedicated to instructional skate, followed by recreational skating featuring fun activities and games. Delivered in partnership with Ready Set Sports. Have a 'love' of tennis? Using modified tennis balls, nets and courts, beginner players are properly equipped to enjoy rallies. Participants must bring their own tennis racquets.

Learn leadership skills that can be applied anywhere, including at school and future jobs (like a camp counsellor!). Gain practical skills during workshops focused on problem-solving, team building and child-centered learning. Learn to lead by influence in real life, as you develop and implement an activity for campers to enjoy at an existing Vaughan summer camp. Summer never smelled so good! As second in command in the kitchen, little sous-chefs learn basic cooking and baking skills from our head chef to prepare yummy, kid-friendly recipes. They’ll practice measuring ingredients, mixing, stirring, and cutting (with plastic knives) and learn the importance of kitchen safety, cleanliness and tidying up afterwards. Creating arts & crafts, playing games and sports, along with special theme days, will help them work up an appetite! Note: Campers participate in 1–2 cooking rotations each day. Delivered in partnership with Medics Camp, a stem.org-accredited organization. Are you a curious kid who loves science, discovery and hands-on learning? Medics Camp is where future doctors and healthcare professionals begin their journey! Get ready to experiment, diagnose and think like a real doctor as you explore how the human body works and how healthcare professionals keep it healthy through engaging, hands-on activities. As a young medic, you’ll investigate germs and disease transmission, test your handwashing skills and use real medical equipment to take vital signs. You’ll observe a pig heart dissection, examine a cow’s long bone to see where blood is made and work in teams in a birth simulation, learning the basics of newborn care and the role of medical teams in welcoming babies safely. Then you’ll study the skeletal system, use a life-size skeleton to identify major bones, examine x-rays and run your own fracture clinic, practicing splints and casts. The week wraps up with First-Aid Friday, where you and your fellow campers gain hands-on experience with CPR on manikins, choking response and EpiPen training, setting you up with essential life-saving skills. Then, it’s time to scrub in for surgery on a banana, learning about skin, anesthesiology and basic surgical techniques. You’ll also explore the digestive system through smell and taste experiments, and the week wraps up with veterinary medicine stations and hands-on first aid skills. Experience the magic of being a mergirl or merboy navigating the deep 'seas'. Learn how to safely swim wearing a mermaid fin, practicing core skills such as dolphin kick and sculling. An impressive workout, incredible fun and a chance to showcase your underwater moves during a choreographed demonstration on the last day of camp. Fins provided. Challenge yourself with hands-on mechanical and aerospace engineering activities and apply your robotic skills to accomplish your missions.
