Tiny worlds, epic stories — create it all in stop motion! Under the wing of industry pros, you’ll turn LEGO and clay into cinematic masterpieces while exploring the stop motion animation process, including pre-production, production and post production. Working in small crews, you’ll bring to life a movie set, write a script, shoot the animation and edit your blockbuster short and movie trailer. Movies will be presented at our red carpet popcorn film festival and archived on our digital theatre.
Note: The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. Before & After Care is available for campers who require care before the camp day begins, from 7:30-8:30am, and after the camp day has ended, from 4:30-6pm. Separate registration is required. Must register for Before & After Care at North Thornhill Community Centre for camps located at Stephen Lewis Secondary School.

It’s a summer of (non-stop!) action and adventure featuring arts & crafts, sports, water games, talent and music shows, plus special events. Note: The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Spend the summer sharpening your artistic skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media art and more! Showcase your one-of-a-kind pieces in an end-of-session art expo for family and friends, with select pieces featured on our Instagram page. Special event days and other camp-related activities complement the art instruction. Note: Participants will be grouped by age and/or skill level. The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. Before & After Care is available for campers who require care before the camp day begins, from 7:30-8:30am, and after the camp day has ended, from 4:30-6pm. Special Events & Workshops · Fitness & Nutrition
Unsure of how to train for a 5km run? Look no further. Join a certified Vaughan Fitness Instructor who will lead you into running your first 5km. Each week will include a warm-up, cool-down, stretches, and a supervised walk/run to get you to the finish line. Each session will be 1-hour in length.
Each week, run club participants will progress their distance, starting at 1km and ending with the goal of reaching a continuous 5km walk/run. Runners will run outdoors in light rain, and indoors during heavy rain fall.

Dip into summer! This camp, for children who love spending time in water, provides a supportive environment where swimmers can build confidence and independence, while learning water safety and having fun. Daily aquatic activities include adapted water sports, relay races, cooperative games, and recreational swimming. Beyond the pool, campers will engage in exciting activities such as arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play throughout their day.
Note: Participants must be toilet-independent and able to participate in a group environment safely. Due to safety reasons, campers with a seizure disorder will require 1:1 staff support (cost is covered by parent/caregiver). The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. This classic summer camp experience for the littlest camper is packed full of fun (indoor and outdoor) activities, including circle time, active games, wacky crafts, science experiments, special theme days, and water play. With a focus on improving social skills and staying active, inclusion camp counsellors provide an intensive level of attention, support and encouragement.

Suit up for the ultimate one-of-a-kind superhero adventure! This week-long creative camp is a celebration of all things superhero, bursting with imagination, action and larger-than-life fun! Every day brings thrilling new missions filled with collaborative art, storytelling, team-building and just the right amount of super-powered chaos. You and your fellow campers will design original heroes and villains and team up to save the day in epic, action-packed drawing challenges. Then, gear up with an arsenal of amazing superhero crafts, from designing capes and forging emblems to assembling all sorts of heroic gear that’ll bring your characters to life. And if that’s not enough, how about an unbelievable hands-on workshop where you’ll actually build your own action figures from scratch? When the signal shines, heroes rise! That’s your cue to grab your cape, sharpen your pencils and assemble your squad — the adventure begins now!

This unique summer camp is perfect for kids who love being in the water. Each day blends swimming instruction, science and classic camp fun as you explore the fascinating ways water works through hands-on STEM activities and playful pool time. Start your mornings with one hour of swim instruction followed by STEM experiments that introduce a different water concept each day, like buoyancy, density or resistance. You’ll discover why we float, how water strengthens our bodies, the difference between salt and fresh water, and much more. In the afternoons, you’ll enjoy another STEM block, then head back to the pool to put your learning into action during rec swim. You’ll build confidence, independence and essential swimming skills in a supportive environment focused on water safety and fun — with time for crafts, active games and all the best parts of summer camp built in.
